Oakham Mayor says if you decide to live in town centre put up with late night noise.
At this week planning meeting Oakham Mayor Councillor Lucas said if you chose to live in Oakham Town Centre you must put up with the noise from late night drinkers and there anti social behaviour. Whilst we were discussing an application from a new bar owner to change Friday opening to 1.00am I raised concern for resident who live next door. Cllr Locket said is does not really matter because residents were most likely to be woken early Saturday morning by the market traders setting up.
I find it shocking the Mayor and Councillor find it acceptable that residents maybe deprived of their sleep and its their fault for living in the town centre.
And please Rutland Times how much longer do we have to suffer her patronising preaching you allow to be published each week in your paper?
