Alan Duncan MP returns to Twitter, Oakham Best Place to Live?

Mr Duncan has returned to Twitter, his last Tweet before his return was 2:44pm · 22 Apr 10

His account is now verified so we can now ignore the other account possible set up by Cllr Haworth
and Co, probably one of his many rogue accounts mentioned in court.

As for best place to live in the whole country, I would not say Oakham is a bad place full of wonderful people if not connected to our terrible councils, but the best?

Our MP's Village or many of the others here in Rutland look better than Oakham.

Uppingham looks much better although spoilt by the street drinkers. It also now has a town council committed to serving its people unlike Oakham. Who will spend spend for it's own ego.

It would be interesting to see the stats behind this survey which if Oakham does turn out top, will be used
as a proganda tool by our terrible councils who bill us the highest council tax in the UK and provide the
poorest service.

The councils kept quiet about the Halifax publication in which Oakham dropped dramatically this year. I wonder if these surveys are worth the paper they are printed on?

At work people have told me Rutland is fast becoming a place to come and die, I beleive the Conservative
leadership here in Rutland prefer to use the description dormitory county.

There are no jobs in Oakham and the choice of shops is poor, especially for young people who Tweet and men.

When I receive my first pay packet at the end of the month, sadly I will be travelling out of town to buy the things I need. I have a sweet tooth so will save some money to treat myself at Mint in Northgate, Oakham.

I will also being paying like many other residents to Rutland and Oakham Councils a large sum of money to keep Cllrs and the CEO  in the lifestyle they are used to.

It's disgusting the CEO is paid over twice the amount our MP is paid. What does she do accept lie under oath, bully her critics and support a homophobic town council.

Now that nearly all council services are contracted out to other councils, surely it is time her job was contracted out to another council? preferable to a CEO that does not claim to work for approval from
the "Conservative Party Nationally"
