Oakham Town Council are to consider grant application from The Rutland Concert Band.

On Wednesday 7pm at Victoria Hall Oakham Town Council are to consider grant application
from The Rutland Concert Band.

The Rutland Concert band connected to the owner of Music & Moore wants Oakham Town
Council to fund explosives £500 for a charity Prom in Cutts Close a repeat of last years Prom.
Anne tells me the bands members will be giving there time for free The explosions seem
a little costly and unless you were sitting close they had little effect.

I recorded the event and the way Anne Councillors speak about it makes me think I might
have recorded the wrong event. People were sleeping and at least one person told me after
watching the video they had an urge to call the samaritans.  Personally the event did not
have a similar effect on me, but it would be true to say the atmosphere was hardly the
same as the Royal Albert Hall.

Although it was rather amusing watching Cllr Joyce Lucas waving her flag which was bigger
than her in an attempt to wake up the crowd.

The video below was recorded by the company who provided last year explosives
