Oakham Town Council Oakham Fire Station Cuts Cllr Vincent Howard
At this Wednesday's meeting at Victoria Hall 7pm. Oakham Town Council will
consider if they will support calls against cuts at Oakham Fire Station.
Oakham Town Council has never previously shown any interest in anything that might
have an effect on our local community unless it affects them personally or if
they want to support one of their own.
Oakham Town Council has recently co-opted the Oakham Fire Station Manager
so it not surprising this has now suddenly at the last moment become an
agenda item for the council.
In the past the fire service has sought support and I would guess none of them
supported or signed their petition back in 2009 shown below.
This agenda item reminds me of Tesco and the only reason
a former Mayor became a Councillor.
