Oakham Town Council Video Recording Of Meetings Town Clerks Personal Use of Recordings Abuse of Publicly Owned Property

Oakham Town Council Video Recording Of Meetings Town Clerks Personal Use of Recordings Abuse of Publicly Owned Property.

Last year Oakham Town Council spent thousands on CCTV to record and publish
meetings for the public.

Oakham Mayor Jayne Woodcock told me around Christmas time the public will be able
to watch proper recordings instead of yours.

So far Oakham Town Council has not published a single recording of a meeting.

The town clerk has published three recordings obtained from the councils system, these can be
found on his personal youtube account. There is no sound.

Oakham Town Council Meeting titled 11th Feb 2015 shown below is just a clip of me packing
up my tripod and speaking to the assistant clerk.

This confirms the deputy mayor's Alf Dewis comment last year, when he said we have
only installed the cctv to watch you!

What a disgraceful waste of public money.

And surely an abuse of a publicly owned property by a man who cant even be bothered
to turn up to work but still receives full pay.

The clerk can access the system from home. If he is well enough to do this
then he should be at work.

£2,279.94 is what he received in pay after deductions, considerably more than my JSA
which he and his mates begrudge me. Almost £2000 more!

Most taxpayers who were genuinely sick would find themselves on Statutory sick
pay by now. The law of the land in his own words does not apply to Oakham
Town Council.

There is a data protection issue here because this video has
been obtained outside a meeting time.

Also the some seats normally occupied by the public are visible
at the bottom of the screen.

That area is sometimes used by a Dean's Street resident who
publicly objected to being recording for publication on the
internet,
