Former Mayor Paul Beech Threatens Oakham Town Council "I will take other actions which may bring the town council into disrepute"

The Clerk has sent me a email received from former Mayor Paul Beech

Mr Beech on the right received a fix penalty for this conduct

The email claims I accused him of trespass I did not.

Yes many years ago he did bang on my door and do as stated.

I repeatedly told Mr Plews then Cllr Plews of Rutland County Council
that what happened was historic and I hoped myself and Mr Beech
had moved on. Mr Plews copied in all his unsolicited emails to
our MP and the chief constable.

I have no reason to apologise to Mr Beech and I am clueless to why he is
writing to Oakham Town Council's clerk about emails which have been
passed to him and were sent long before I was a Councillor.

Mr Plews was investigated my the monitoring officer and was found
to have abused me and public systems by sending his unsolicited emails
he agreed not to send me anymore perhaps they should have asked him
not to forward them to others like Mr Beech

Mr Beech also writes

"He has since, while a town councillor, made other unfounded, with no supported evidence, accusations against me mainly by social media.

Since becoming a Councillor I have mentioned the former mayor because
he attended the public town meeting and made a contribution to that meeting
all what I have posted is backed up by video recordings of his participation at
that meeting.

Mr Beech also writes the following threat:

If this is not forthcoming then I will take other actions which may bring the town council into disrepute by his association with OTC.

Dearest Mr Beech,

Oakham Town Council are not in slightest way bothered
about the way they are perceived by anyone.

So I can't imagine how your intended threat towards your beloved old boys club
would achieve anything. Let alone bring them into disrepute.

Later I am publishing a video of last nights meeting and many might say
a lot of its content brings the council into disrepute.

For example when a signed ballot was called the deputy Mayor suggested
there would not be a misscount because this is not Rutland County Council.

Subject: Complaint against a town councillor.

Dear Mr White.

It has come to my notice that on the 17th January 2015, the now Cllr. Martin Brookes, sent an email to the list of recipients below, accusing me of trespass, banging on his door, twice, and setting off his alarm.

I am stating now that I have never been onto his property and never been filmed on his CCTV system, to my knowledge.

I require him to produce the evidence and if he can't then to issue a retractions full apology for this, and other false accusations that he has made against me.  He has since, while a town councillor, made other unfounded, with no supported evidence, accusations against me mainly by social media.

I believe the appropriate forum for this apology would be a town council meeting.

If this is not forthcoming then I will take other actions which may bring the town council into disrepute by his association with OTC.

The offending email can be supplied as evidence if you so wish, (although by the looks of the recipients you will already hold a copy on file), which I appreciate is before he became a councillor the second time around.  However, in view of the severity of the accusations, and the high profile of the recipients, I must take this as a serious issue.

 To: Gene Plews; ####################################

I have no objections to Cllr. Brookes seeing this email at this time therefore I would like you to keep Cllr. Brookes informed of my intentions.

Yours faithfully,

Paul Beech
