The eye of man hath not heard, the ear of man hath not seen…nor his heart to report what my dream was!
To mark the 400th Anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death, Uppingham School will stage one of his most joyful comedies. A Midsummer Night’s Dream has drama and laughter in abundance. Come and be enchanted by all the mayhem.
This will be the first production by the new Theatre Director, Emma Lucia.
Emma comes to the school from a seventeen year career in professional theatre predominantly at Clwyd Theatr Cymru where she directed productions such as A Doll’s House (Henrik Ibsen), God of Carnage (Yasmina Reza), Copenhagen (Michael Frayn), Educating Rita (Willy Russell), Ghosts (Henrik Ibsen), Oleanna (David Mamet), Arms and The Man (George Bernard Shaw) and The Herbal Bed (Peter Whelan).
