Geoff Pook, Rutland County Council, Leicestershire Police Interview

Geoff Pook, Rutland County Council, Leicestershire Police Interview

Very recently Geoff Pook was spotted in a small meeting room with officers from Leicestershire Police.

The very same room I was called to by him in and another in 2009..

Is this meeting with the police, the reason for his rumoured early retirement?

If the rumour is true, how much is this likely to cost the Rutland Tax Payer?

Erewash Borough Council had to fork a fortune when they decided he had to go.

They sacked him as Chief Executive and used the money saved to pay six road sweepers.

They later lost a legal case brought by Mr Pook.

If I found Mr Pook knows more than he lets on relating to the years of crap I have endured
from our local governance and its supporters I would be a little unhappy, especially if he is paid off
once again.

Mr Pook has always told me what I say is true, but certain people don't like the way its said.

But then I have learnt the there is no correct way to publish the truth when dealing with the Rutland
Tory Mob...

Roger Begy, Tory Leader of Rutland County Council, Geoff Pook, Maybe leaving Rutland County Council

There is a rumour circulating that the above maybe due to happen.

Mr Pook was once head of legal services at Rutland County Council.

At that time he called me in to the council office to question my intentions for becoming a town councillor
back then I did not realise he had not right to do that and of course since learnt what control Rutland County
Council has over local democracy here in Rutland.

Mr Pook is no longer head of legal services, he remains the monitoring officer for Rutland and in my opinion has been very selective about dealing with some issues.

Mr Pook I believe is now also responsible for democratic services.

I once received an anonymous communication from the person, I guess they were responsible
for communicating the most foul correspondence from Rutland County County Councils computers to me over the years, they said "good old Pook I knew he would not grass me up"

Last week I wrote  to Mr Pook and asked if he is considering early retirement and is there any connection to
that comment.

I am also told Tory Leader Roger Begy OBE is considering going.

I cant image why? I wonder if there is any connection to the conduct of the unknown person
and the election posters attacking me, the ones he failed to see throughout his ward even the
one posted directly outside his home.

Has the man Leicester Police arrested in January and re-bailed till 3rd September threatened
to take them down with him?

If I was that man who has taken part in an homophobic, filthy hate campaign, for so many years
I would not want to take the punishment for all the group.

I spotted on twitter the following comment

Rutland Rumours @ElGordo999
theres a rumour coming out of #rutland county council that begy and pook are retiring! maybe all the others could take the hint ;)

I agree and I am not afraid to name them.

Our town and County would be a far better place if Roger Begy took his mob with him.

That includes Rutland County Councillors

Terry King (Conservative)
Gene Plews (Conservative)

and the other Tories who support their disgraceful conduct, that is most off them.

Also Oakham Town Councillors

Alf Dewis
Joyce Lucas
Charles Haworth
John Nowell

and the Clerk Richard White

Roger Begy can Take Helen Briggs Chief Executive and her team with him.

Despite the recent changes at Leicestershire Police they don't smell of Roses
they need to deal with the stink that starts with Inspector Monks and Sgt Foster.

It is not acceptable for their replacements at Oakham to keep saying there were
management issues in the past at Oakham Police station....!

There have been serious issues that Leicestershire Police have attempted to
ignore and that includes my false arrest last year in support of these nasty thugs.

Rutland County Council say its not an offence to ask people, Not To Vote Tory

During the election campaign I produced many leaflets asking people in Oakham to Vote on May 5th I said if they wanted change don't vote for a Tory.

Conservative Councillor Gene Plews, felt this may have been illegal. He had a conversation with Geoff Pook, Head of Corporate Governance of Rutland County Council.

Who responded via e-mail: (my ref 002)

Hello Gene.

Further to our conversation yesterday, I do not believe that an election offence has been committed by the
distribution of the small papers bearing Mr Brookes's name.

If he distributed them in the ward in which he is a candidate, then he should account for any cost incurred
as part of his election expenses return. The same would be true for any other candidate who had asked him
to distribute them in other wards, but seems rather unlikely, especially as the handwritten message is a negative
one rather than an indication of support for specific candidates.

Regards
Geoff

Rutland County Councils Failure to Redact

A member of the public who has said she has been bullied by Rutland County Council for over two years, used the freedom of information act to obtain documents relating to her.

This includes e-mails sent my senior Councillors and Staff, its no surprise the e-mails make the council very stupid and unprofessional.. Mr Roger B Begy (Conservative) - GREETHAM WARD  (Leader of the Council) for example says things like "she slags people of" hardly the grammar you would expect from the leader.

One Councillor suggests to him it would be better if tape recordings of a meeting were to vanish!

I am more concerned about the one below my name was not redacted before it was sent out to this member of the public.

Geoff Pook head of legal services suggests to the Chief Executive Helen Briggs that Councillors will surely treat her in the same way they do Martin Brookes!

The lady asks what does this mean? I can only assume it means send her vile and explicit messages, make death threats and bully and harass her and call her a paedophile, What else could it been?

Rutland County Council say I can complain to the Chief Executive Helen Briggs about this serious breach, now that  is a joke!

It is good to see bully

Mr Terry C King (Conservative) - EXTON WARD (Deputy Leader of the Council) often chuck his rattle out of the pram Mr Pooks says "Terry's e-mail might be another case of where he might be making  to much of a thing"

The Council is shown in further emails to be unsure weather Mr King making a standards complaint about Councillor would be less nuclear than if Helen Briggs raised the complaint.

This document will be used at my Standard Tribunal to point out how for some reason Rutland County Council has treated me in a unknown special way?

Social Networking Geoff Pook Rutland County Council and Exton Parish Council

Social Networking Geoff Pook Rutland County Council and Exton Parish Council

Social Networking  Rutland Parish Forum.

A Exton Parish Councillor reported at last night parish council meeting the following 'Geoff Pook advises Councillors should not blog whatever that is?'

This morning I followed this up and obtained a copy of Rutland County Council Parish Forum Minutes

Advice was given but not in such a blunt fashion.

Mr. Geoff Pook, Head of Legal and Democratic Services, Rutland County Council, gave a presentation on Social Networking. This included:

Definitions, including the distinction between blogging (an individuals web-based means of communication) and social networking (a community's web based means of communication). Examples of social networking included Facebook, Twitter and Myspace.

The Code of Conduct would always be engaged in situations where the activity was sponsored by the local authority (whether at county, town or parish level). It may be engaged in situations where the activity was sponsored by an individual. Where the activity was anonymous, the Code might still be engaged but there would clearly be evidential problems.

An important distinction was whether a blog was designed for private or political purposes, and thus the target audience. A statement to clarify the purpose could be included on the site for the sake of clarity.

A number of accepted conduct principles existed to govern issues such as disclosure of confidential information, disrepute, use of resources, other online activities and human rights. The ten general principles of public life also prevailed: selflessness, honour and integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, personal judgement, respect for others, duty to uphold the law, stewardship, leadership. Other issues to be taken into account included libel, bias and pre-determination, copyright, data protection and obscene material.

During discussion, it was also noted that:

Common sense should help to guide actions in most cases

Normal purdah rules also applied during election periods;

A checklist of requirements could be made available on request.
