Falcon Hotel Holds Open Day

After 5 months of private ownership the Falcon Hotel, Market Square, Uppingham  is hosting an Open Day to enable members of the local community to view the progress being made with its restoration. Viewing is invited between 10am and 2pm on Friday July 29th 2011. Refreshments will be served.

Uppingham First Rutland County Council approves erection of broadband mast

Uppingham First Rutland, County Council approves erection of broadband mast.

It was interesting to hear a Rutland County Councillor Cabinet member admit she was thick.
Councillor Mrs Janine Rodger (Conservative) - COTTESMORE WARD said she is obviously thick when she comes to matters like this.

Uppingham First would like people to register expressions of interest in high speed broadband for village communities within a ten mile range of Uppingham. Contact secretary@uppinghamfirst.co.uk

Lastt June Uppingham First and Rutland Telecom won the action for market towns award in the East Midlands to provide the entire town with free wifi access.
