End of the Pier Delights Sunday 25th & Bank Holiday Monday 26th August 11.00am - 4.00pm Orton Square, Leicester

End of the Pier Delights

Sunday 25th & Bank Holiday Monday 26th August
11.00am - 4.00pm

Orton Square
Roll up! Roll up! The End of The Pier Delights is spectacular summertime fun for children under 12 and their families. Come and join The Spark this holiday for some good old fashioned seaside fun. Grab your buckets and spades for our sandcastle competition; meet Lady Cha Cha and other vaudeville delights; sing, play and wonder at our seaside curiosities.
Emergency Poet, the world's first and only mobile poetic first aid service, will be on hand to provide theatre and participation.  Discuss your poetic aliments with Nurse Verse and write your own poetry inspired by skulls, jars of eyeballs and other body parts from inside the 1960's vintage ambulance.
Vagabondi Puppets will be performing A Pirate’s Life for Me from their incredible steam punk ship.  This unruly pair bring their past to life with the aid of puppets, scraps of scummy old maps and bawdy songs.
There will be prizes to win in our games of Live Action Guess Who?, Deck Chair Bingo and musical moments to warm the cockles of your heart.

The Spark Arts For Children promises a vintage day out for all, so grab your sunglasses and come down and join us for some sandy larking about this summer.
Please note access to some activities may be limited at busy times.
